Wedding stuff...

So we've set the date: December 13, and now we're trying to set up everything else. We've been talking with the hotels in town, (The Best Western and Comfort Inn) to get a group rate. If we can book 10 rooms at the Best Western, they will be $77 a piece, rather than their regular $99. So if you think you may possibly be staying overnight at a hotel, please let us know so we can give them a rough estimate. Thanks!

Save the Date...

We have bounced back and forth between dates for our wedding for a while now, but we have settled on December 13, 2008.
Hopefully we won't have to change it again!
Any conflicts?

Chuck E. Cheeeese!

We had a very busy weekend. Friday night was the ballgame and Saturday we went to Erie. Ben has been studying for his Insurance licensing test so he went to take it at the Sylvan testing center in Erie. Hannah and I shopped at the mall during the test and then met up with Ben when he was finished. He got an excellent score and PASSED!! So we celebrated by going to Chuck E. Cheese. Neither Ben or Hannah had ever been there so we had a fun time!

Take me out to the Ballgame!

Hannah and I had our first baseball game experience Friday night at a a Buffalo Bison's game! We got tickets through my work. The whole office went up and we had a box with a bunch of food. It was so fun!
Here's Hannah napping on our way to the game with her cousin Emily. Twins!

There were 2 helicopters on the field before the game that took off after the National Anthem. So Cool!

Ben came along, too!

Hannah sitting with our friends (newlyweds: see Josh and Megan's Wedding).

Hannah bonding with Uncle Wes. :) She loved that hat.

Hannah wasn't that into the baseball game, but enjoyed a game of "Peek-a-Boo" with Uncle Wes and Cousin Katie.

There was an air hockey table in our box - (Suite 21, by the way) -Hannah would have chosen to stay here the whole evening. She loved playing with the kids.

And the night ended with Fireworks over the stadium. We had a wonderful time!

Go Phelps!

We were watching the Olympics and Hannah found my googles. She looks pretty spiffy, and loves the water...perhaps she'll be the next to go 8 for 8 world records and gold medals at the 2024 Olympic Games!

haha - i love this picture.

Day After

Hello Again everyone,
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers yesterday. Mediation went better then expected. I did not have my attorney attend the mediation with me, as I thought we weren't going to settle and it wouldn't do any good to have her there.
After all, we did end up agreeing on a schedule. It is not ideal, but it will do until we can decide on something else later. Because we were able to settle in the mediation setting, we are eligable to return to mediation should we choose to do so, rather then having to go through the court system. (Had we not settled, we would have to start the court process which is a minimum of $2100 and would take at least 4 months.)
The best news is, I now have Hannah every other weekend, which is tons better then before. I did loose some time during the week, but I did receive the majority of time. It would take too long to explain the whole schedule, it's pretty complex and will probably take us lots of time to get used to.
So, I guess overall we are happy with the outcome. Thanks again,
Carrie

Mediation

Hello Everyone, Thank you for stopping by to read my blog and check out the pictures.
Today, I am headed to the courthouse to have a final custody mediation with Hannah's dad. This will be the second time we've attempted to come up with a schedule we both agree on. It's our last chance at Mediation before we need to move to a full-blown court hearing, etc. Ben will be going along. Even though he can't come into the meeting with me, it will be good to know I have his support and will he'll be there when I get done.
We would appreciate your prayers and thoughts today. I will try to update tomorrow with the results. Thanks again!

Hannah and the Sink

If I ever lose track of Hannah in my house, I always know exactly where to find her. She teeters her little toes on the very edge of her potty and leans over the bathroom sink and tries to submerge her whole face in water.

This time I caught her before she had all her hair soaking wet, I'm not always this lucky. She's a quick little goober.
She has nice legs, too. She certainly didn't get those from me - haha

The Potter County Fair!

We took Hannah to the Potter County Fair on Tuesday. She Loved the animals, of course :)
Here she is in the bunny house.

My personal favorite: Maple Cotton Candy (This is why I wanted to go :) .)

Hannah loved the Carousel...

And the Cars...

...but her favorite was the Jumping!!

Tea with Grandmama

It was a beautiful day, so Grandma and Hannah had a Tea (lemonade) Party on the lawn next to the lilac bush.

Hannah took a sip of her tea and ended up spilling it down herself, so she changed into this pretty sun dress.

Josh and Megan's Wedding

Ben and I attended the wedding of our friends Josh and Megan Preston on Saturday, July 26.
My camera didn't work very well during the ceremony.
Josh's father, who is a preacher, married them.

Megan and Josh's first dance as Man and Wife

The Father-Daughter Dance

Beautiful Cake...It was Funfetti. Delicious!
Here is Aunt Michele and Uncle Wes, they were at our table as well as my other co-workers from SBS.
A not so good shot of Ben and myself...
It was a very beautiful wedding. The ceremony was held at the United Methodist Church and the reception was at The Old Library. Josh and Megan are now on their honeymoon in Cancun...I'm trying not to be jealous!

Dinner with Uncle Tim

Hannah felt better so we went for Wing Night at the Sports Cafe with Uncle Tim.
We chowed down on peanuts! Hannah loved them.

CHEESE!

Sick Day

I stayed home from work on Thursday because Hannah wasn't feeling well. She had a fever and didn't feel like eating and slept A LOT.

This was Hannah's feverish attempt to smile -

We paid to visit Dr. Prahdon. He said Hanny's check up was normal except for the fever and to keep her on a steady dose of Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen.

The best part of a Doctor visit : The Lollipop!

Time for a Nap!
