Outer Banks: Heading Home

Saturday was a long day of driving.

The trip to our Virginia hotel seemed to take up all the daylight. We were glad to split it up and make it a two-day ordeal. We left OBX at about 10:45 and arrived at our hotel by 6:15, had a good supper at the steakhouse across the sleep and were ready for bed before 10:30.

Sunday, the final leg of our trip, went much faster. Even though we weren't super excited to get back to "real life", it's nice to be home. Daisy missed us. It was lovely to be welcomed back by her pleasant meowing and purrs. She's actually sitting on my shoulders right now, (at least she's warm!) :)

So, that's it. The end of our vacation adventure. It was so good to spend time with some of our family.
