Some Fall Photo's

I've been wanting some Mums all season and when I got home from work on Friday evening, Ben had bought some for me. So sweet. I love him :)

Aunt Pookie visits!

Our new favorite book: Llama Llama Red Pajama!

We love Pookie!

Nice socks, bean :) Getting ready for swimming lessons.

My beautiful, silly girl...

SNOW!

Friday morning I woke up to Hannah yelling, "Mama!!! There's snow!". I found her bright eyed and staring in wonder out her bedroom window.
We went downstairs and I got this picture of her :)

She immediately wanted to make a snowman
(notice she's still in her pajamas with her coat on top.)

Putting in the carrot nose....

All done! Beautiful!

There he is a little later. Unfortunately, he's starting to melt a bit. So cute, though!

Outer Banks: Heading Home

Saturday was a long day of driving.
The trip to our Virginia hotel seemed to take up all the daylight. We were glad to split it up and make it a two-day ordeal. We left OBX at about 10:45 and arrived at our hotel by 6:15, had a good supper at the steakhouse across the sleep and were ready for bed before 10:30.

Sunday, the final leg of our trip, went much faster. Even though we weren't super excited to get back to "real life", it's nice to be home. Daisy missed us. It was lovely to be welcomed back by her pleasant meowing and purrs. She's actually sitting on my shoulders right now, (at least she's warm!) :)

So, that's it. The end of our vacation adventure. It was so good to spend time with some of our family.
Thanks for reading!
(Now I need to go find a sweater.... It's freezing up here!)

Outer Banks: Day Six

Day Six was another relaxing day. As our last day of vacation, we decided to spend most of it on the beach. In the evening, the "grown ups" went out to supper and Ben and I hung out with the kids. By evening, it was time to start packing for our long trip home on Saturday.

This is a cute picture of my Aunt Paula and her kids, Nick & Greg. Thanks again to her for letting me steal her pictures all week...you're the best! :)

Outer Banks: Day Five

Today was a lazy day. We spent some time at the beach, and in the pool. Hung around the house all day. It was very relaxing. I even took a nap :)

Not many plans for tomorrow either. It's our last full day so I'm sure there will be packing and getting ready for our trip home on Saturday. Not quite ready for that... We like being where it's warm. There have been years that we came back from the beach and were welcomed in Bradford by snow...I hope that doesn't happen this year.

Grandma Marion

My Great Grandma Marion Sawyer passed away Wednesday morning, September 30th, 2009.
She will be greatly missed.
This is a photo of Grandma with Hannah, taken in 2006. It's my favorite photo of Grandma.

She's pictured here with her husband, My Great Grandpa Mart, who passed away last year.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our family this week as preparations are being made. We wish we could be there to share memories and hugs. Love to you all.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30
